Oct 22nd mid morning

Around 10am today, my mother's OT and PT came in with a wheelchair. We did a few exercises with my mother then helped her into the wheelchair.

Once in the chair, she combed her hair and was ready to ROLLLLLLLLLLL!

We took off through the hospital and were permitted to go outside to sit in one of the courtyards.

I positioned my mother in the 'sun' so that she could get the warm 'rays' (no pun intended with the Tampa Bay Rays and World Series!).

My mother loved the sun, 'feels gooood' she said.

We had a good motivational talk about therapy, goals and what to expect after I leave.

Shortly after we came back in, my cousin Patti called to get an update and I gave the phone to my mother. She was happy to hear another voice other then MINE!

Flowers and cards are slowly rolling in.....we're running out of room! The Popoff/Yost family sent some, the Thunderbolt Football program as well as my mothers' friends from Hover Round.
