Oct 19th the OT show
Jody from occupational therapy was in to see my mother this morning. Her and I talked and she told me that in my mother's situation they usually see a return of the 'gross' muscles first (hip/shoulder) then the 'fine' motor muscles (hand/foot).
Jody asked my mother to tell her what color eyes Jody had. My mother's reply was 'blue' and she was 100% CORRECT!
Jody also asked my mother what time it was on the clock (on the wall). My mother replied, '10:25'. TWO FOR TWO!!!!!!!
Finally Jody told me that for my mother to be able to know her surroundings and be able to eat (even though puree) are great steps toward recovery!

Mom, I'm sorry but I have to get back to your condo......I'm beat and need some rest.
