Nov 8th 'Trace movement'

Good morning! I spoke to my mother's OT (occupational therapist) yesterday to see how we ended the week of therapy.

Steve told me that my mother's R side has not been exercised much. Yesterday, during therapy and while they saw trace movements in her R leg and arm.

Trace movements mean that there was some muscle contraction in her R arm and leg. This is a great sign! Please understand that with recovery and this type of situation this type of situation may 'come and go'.....

TRUST ME....I AM GRATEFUL for ANY development my mother makes.....and in NO WAY am I downplaying this.

Another situation my mother is working on is her vision. My mother's peripheral vision has been effected. This can effect depth perception.

HOWEVER, her OT said that one exercise there were 20 items on a table and my mother had to find/recognize as many as she could. She was able to recognize 19 out of 20 items!!!! GO CAROLE!

I will be calling and talking to Betty and MOON today between 1 and 2pm......CAN'T WAIT!
